Medical eXpense Tracking Publisher Description

MXT is a full fledged application for tracking medical expenses and tax deductible patient payments. MXT additionally tracks primary and secondary insurance obligation and payments; deductible and co-insurance limits are tracked as well.

The application has the facility for tracking Medicare Parts A, B, & D, and Dental Insurance. Screen reports display Medical Provider Payments Status, Appointment History, Prescription History and costs - the later is most helpful in determining future prescription medication insurance needs, as in Plan D coverage.

Printed reports provide summary reports for Insurance status regarding deductible and coinsurance limits, a summary of tax deductible patient payments for medical expenses, and a summary of medically related travel expenses. These reports run at year end are particularly helpful when completing �Itemized Deductions� at tax time.

Whats new:
Version 7.0: The following enhancements have been added to medical expense creation screen for MXT: An "Additional Payment" field for additional corrective payments from your Primary Insurance company. This field can be used also for corrective refunds made to your Primary Insurance company. To do so, simply enter the refund as a negative (-) number - the field label will change to "Insurance Refund". An "Additional Payment" field for additional patient payments. A "Reimbursement" field now allows recording overpayment refunds made to the patient by the Provider. Additionally, the same field can be use to record payments made by the insurance company directly to the patients, especially useful when the Provider is not a "participating physician". An "Overall Balance Owed" field gives a running total of the balance amount the patients owes for all medical accounts. The following enhancements have been added to Medical Provider Account Payment Status screen for MXT: A running total field separately summarizes the patient balance owed to each Provider Likewise, patient and insurance payments are totaled separately for each Provider. The following enhancements have been added to Filled Prescription History screen for MXT: A running total field summarizes the out-of-pocket patient payments for prescription medications separately by family member. A running total field summarizes the pharmacy charges separately by family member. Items # 7 and #8 are particularly helpful at the end of the year for individuals who need to re-evaluate their need for supplemental prescription insurance plans (ie: Medicare Plan D) Other minor enhancements: The ability to print all records from any record set Cosemetic improvements Data field lengthening in the Medical Providers screen Tutorial updates. The "sample record" database has been significantly enlarged - even an experienced user will benefit by examining the records and exploring the various reports based on the sample data.
